Getting their start in the mid-90s, in the close-knit eastern Washington community of the Tri-Cities (Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland) underground scene, it became readily apparent that Loudermilk were meant for much bigger things.

In 1998 the band released their debut album Man With Gun Kills Three! on the indie label, She’s An Anchor. Shortly after that an unauthorized demo found its way into the hands of American Recordings, who promptly signed the band. Almost as soon as the ink had dried on their contract, Loudermilk found themselves on the road touring with the likes of Mötley Crüe and Megadeth.

While the relationship with American Recordings didn’t bear the album fruit they hoped for, the band quickly moved over to Dreamworks, who released the magnificent The Red Record in 2002. And subsequently they found themselves appearing on TV shows like Dawson’s Creek and Charmed.

They rebranded as Gosling in 2004 and split in 2006 after releasing an EP on indie label The Control Group and the full length Here Is… on the major label V2 Records.

They’re not a punk band. They’re not an indie-hipster band. They’re not major label whores. What they are is rock band. A damn good rock band. And Loudermilk’s story isn’t done. Not even close. While band members have moved on to other projects, they’ve always remained close friends and this April the band returns after a 14-year hiatus for a handful of dates in the pacific Northwest to embrace those iconic songs and share the stage once again. Is this a tease for more to come or a brief moment to catch while you can? Only time will tell. Either way, you don’t want to miss out.
